The main page of Theta Fleet can't keep all the news, so we archive it here. This has all the news from January 2019 on. (There is far too much from 2010 to 2018 to copy over. Sorry.)

WRITER OF THE MONTH

Task Force 23: Sentinel:  Commander Kytolos Sh'reyva just started on Sentinel Station and gave us quite compelling backstory of his character.

Task Force 42: Fenrir: Scarlet Blake (Katy), for the quality of the writing that she has done, not just for her PC, but for the NPCs she has as well. It allows her to interact in most departments and drive things along, which has created some rather fun posts and writing situations.

Task Force 51: Astrea & Resolute

Astrea: Maxun Spello: The XO is on the Bridge when Red Alert hits and has really taken control of keeping the action moving with both this character and running the Starfighter squadron as they were engaged in firefight. As the mission comes close to wrapping I appreciate these writers who are good at writing tense battle scenes.

Resolute: Lieutenant Lorek has come on board and thrown himself into posts with his take on a half Vulcan/half Human. It has been interesting to see the portrayal of the character and I’m looking forward to seeing his journey.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Task Force 23: Thunderbird: Lt. Bartholomew Hale -- he's created a subplot about an explosion in the shuttle bay that ties in nicely with the schism within Starfleet ranks caused by the Maquis and its resultant paranoia that continues to generate posts and interests.

Task Force 42: Calypso: Cynthia, who writes for Vincent Shaw, our chief of operations. She frequently asks what she can do to move the story along. She also starts posts with other players. She's active on Discord and reaches out to other players to simply say hello and ask them how they're doing.

Task Force 51: Missouri & Tokyo

Missouri: Jesse. With me becoming unreliable due to quitting my job and starting a new one, Jesse has kept the players engaged and the story moving.

Tokyo: Zach - Our new Chief Engineer jumped right into the middle of it all and simply got on with it! Not only that he worked with pretty much every crew member to create new and interesting side plots.

POST OF THE MONTH

Task Force 23: Sentinel: "Extinguish, Part II" (https://sentinel.harperhold.com/index.php/sim/viewpost/35)

Task Force 42: Deep Space 5: "The Shape of Home" parts I & II

Part I: https://deepspace5.harperhold.com/index.php/sim/viewpost/2182

Part II: https://deepspace5.harperhold.com/index.php/sim/viewpost/2187

Task Force 51: Herodotus & Orcrist & Valiant

Herodotus: "Variables" (https://herodotus.uss-pioneer.com/index.php/sim/viewpost/174)

What does a Ferengi do when they are a member of a crew of a secret timeship. They crunch the numbers to make sure that the timeline does not get messed up that's what. In this post our Crewman Lekran, a Ferengi who is the Temporal Risk Analyst, has a discussion with the Chief Temporal Operations Officer about the odds of our mission success. This is a great insight into what goes on off the bridge of the Herodotus.

Orcrist: "Through the Looking Glass Parts One and Two"
